Portable Pixmap
PPM, which stands for Portable Pixmap, is a straightforward image storage format. It supports three types of images: color (PPM), grayscale (PGM), and black and white (PBM). These formats are particularly useful as an intermediary representation during the conversion of raster image files between different platforms. The development of the PPM format is credited to Jeff Poskanzer.
Truevision TGA (Targa) Image
The TGA format is a raster graphics file developed in 1984 by Truevision Inc. for their high-end graphics cards. It later found wide use in video editing and animation due to its versatility. TGA supports color depths of 1 to 32 bits per pixel, includes alpha channels for image transparency, and offers RLE compression to balance file size and image quality.
